Studio Visit with Darnell Hayes

Visit the Clinton Hill studio of painter Darnell Hayes, who makes large oil portraits of friends, neighbours and family from the Black communities of Brooklyn and his hometown of Baltimore. Painted from life over many sittings, his portraits focus on everyday moments of rest and dignity. See finished portraits, studies and works in progress, and hear about his process. Small group, casual conversation.
